We started at Klingman's Dome in a light rain but it felt good as it was so hot that July. We couldn't see a thing from Klingmans' Dome but then again, I have been there at least a half a dozen times and never been able to see more than several hundred feet.
While packing the group food, utensils, stoves, etc. we couldn't figure out why Evans couldn't fit anything else in his back. But while hiking, we soon found out why. We game across a bear in the park and Evans immediatley dropped his pack, emptied about half of it out and pulled out a movie camera the size of a bread box to film the bear among other things. I sure hope those other videos don't make it on you tube.
